To reduce environment noise (Neuron Spikerbox or Spikerbox Pro):
- Avoid Smartphone or any type of charger plugged close to it
- If using a Notebook remove the charger from the notebook and from the wall too
- Ceiling fan can trigger an environmental response from the cockroach leg
- avoid any type of electronic too close to the Spikerbox
- Tube lamps sometimes can add noise because of the internal reactor
Muscle Spikerbox or Spikerbox Pro is not too affected like Neuron Pro
- Avoid Smartphone or any type of charger plugged close to it

If you are connected to a Smartphone or a computer and you still recording voices and ambient noise
there is something wrong with your setup.
Spikerbox Pro to PC connect via USB, Smartphone using the (Green cable)
Spikerbox connects to PC and Smartphone only via Smartphone Cable (Green cable). When you connect, all ambient noise must shut from recordings.
When you turn ON the original Neuron SpikerBox with nothing plugged in, then there is noise/squealing coming from the speaker. This will disappear once you connect a cockroach leg to the input.
Set the band pass filter in the Config settings, for the cockroach leg, to be from 250-2500Hz with the 60Hz notch filter checked. Yes there is no mV on the Y axis as they are not calibrated to give exact measurements. RMS is the best way to obtain a measurement of size.
