The usage of Faraday cage is to avoid interference from 60Hz ( noise from wall plugs, lights and charges) or using something attached to the wall will allow noise into the experiment. So having a cage around your experiment will result in cleaner and smoother recordings. And you can build your own very easily follow the steps shown in the link below:
