Our SpikerBoxes have an Opto-isolated connection with the USB module through which serial communication is established. So there is no risk of getting electrical socks from false USB modules from your PC.
Also, all of our devices use 9v DC which is pretty much harmless for human beings and can't generate any electrical shocks or sudden muscle contraction.
