First note that muscles have longer communication time length, while neurons respond in a sense of 1ms. So in order to record those type of sensory neurons, you would than need a Neuron SpikerBox Pro, which is a better version of regular Neuron SpikerBox, and with more channels. Both boards are made for recording & detecting neuron's action potential
That said, you can locate sensory neurons in your hand and attach electrodes to those areas. That way Neuron SpikeBox should detect "the touch". For such small area we specially made small electrodes.
